Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is designed to raise personnel is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
